Transmission Line Calc 2.0

Transmission Line Calc is a versatile tool for conducting various calculations associated with RF transmission lines.

Upon selecting one of the 53 available transmission lines, users can input the length and operating frequency. The tool will then provide details such as the cable's characteristic impedance and velocity factor, as well as the attenuation (loss) and electrical length in wavelengths and degrees.

Furthermore, users can specify the impedance (both resistive and reactive) and indicate whether it is measured at the transmission line's input or load. The tool automatically calculates the impedance at the opposite end of the transmission line, along with the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) for both ends.

The loss caused by SWR is then computed and shown, alongside the total loss. Users can also enter the input power, allowing the tool to display the loss due to the cable and SWR, as well as the net power output.

Supported cable types include well-known options such as Belden, Davis RF, TMS LMR series, Andrew Heliax series, Generic Tubular/Windom/Open types, CommScope Plenum/Drop series, Aircell, Aircom Plus, Ecoflex Standard/Plus series, as well as specific rigid line models like MACX350A, MACX450A, MACX650A, and MACX775A.
